The Wanganui Ski and Snowboard Club is a non-profit organisation run by enthusiastic club members. It exists solely for the purpose of skiing, snowboarding and for people who have a passion for the mountains - not for commercial gain. When you stay in the Hut, you are welcomed as 'part of the club'. Duties are rostered to help with the day to day running of the lodge.
The first Wanganui hut was built over 65 years ago. Since then countless families have called it home. Three major renovations have taken place since '49. The Hut then, and still now, is well known for its all-ages friendly atmosphere, delicious hearty meals, and warm welcome on the slopes.
