Tongariro Expeditions

Tongariro Expeditions is New Zealand's leading shuttle service operator for the world famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. 

The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a one day hike taking 6-8 hours over stunning volcanic terrain.  The famous sites such as the Red Crater, Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom), the Emerald and Blue Lakes and the new active Te Maari crater promise a memorable experience unique to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.

We are based out of Taupo, Turangi, Tongariro Base Camp and Ketetahi car park in the summer season.  

We offer transport only options during the summer months with the option of a guiding service on request. 

We have a range of gear for hire or purchase on the bus as needed.  

During Winter months, while snow and ice cover the track, we offer a Trtack safety options.
