Of course, you can simply relax, drink in the stunning New Zealand scenery and enjoy the wide variety of wildlife that inhabits this unique region of Northland.

The Rock is a tour of the Bay of Islands with loads of fun activities like kaykaing, snorkelling, island exploring, informative chats with our knowledgeable crew and more. There's lunch included.
Duration: 8am until 3pm (7 hours)
Itinerary: Day One
Today you will visit locations of historic and cultural significance, enjoy awesome scenery and swim in clear lagoons. From these locations you can take part in all sorts of outdoor activities: kayaking, snorkelling, gathering fresh sea food, exploring WWII remains, trekking across islands and visiting ancient Maori fortifications.
If conditions are calm, we’ll gather mussels from the kelp-covered outer reefs to enjoy on the way home. You’ll learn to paddle a kayak in safe, blue waters and explore the coastline and sea caves for the more experienced. You will have time to enjoy the remote beaches - perfect for a game of beautiful lookout points for views across the Bay of Islands.
On the homeward cruise, we’ll enjoy those mussels, freshly steamed, and watch out for the abundant marine and bird life… hopefully we’ll even see dolphins!

Directions
The Rock Adventure Cruise departs from the Paihia Wharf, Bay of Islands. The tender (a black Rigid Inflatable Boat) will meet you at the wharf. We depart at 8am. The wharf is a short 2 minute walk from the Bus stop at the Maritime Building. Or we are a 3 and a 1/2 hour drive north from Auckland on State Highway 1. Follow the signs to the Bay of Islands and Paihia.

Cancellation within 3 days of arrival date: 100% forfeit of the total booking price.

Bay of Islands Rock Cruises Ltd obligation to refund any payments made by you at the time of booking the Cruise*:
If you cancel more than 72 hours prior to departure: Full Refund
If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to departure: Forfeiture of the Full Price
If you cancel your booking less than 72 hours prior to departure Bay of Islands Rock Cruises Ltd will make every reasonable effort to re-sell your booking. However Bay of Islands Rock Cruises Ltd is under no obligation to take any extraordinary measures to try to fill your spot on the trip.

All departures activities & itineraries are subject to weather tides & sea conditions. Bay of Islands Rock Cruises reserves the right to cancel any departure without prior notice in the interest of passenger comfort and safety.
MINIMUM NUMBERS
All Departures are subject to Bay of Islands Rock Cruises Ltd minimum number of 10 guests being met. Should the minimum numbers not be reached Bay of Islands Rock Cruises Ltd reserve the right to cancel the trip and offer guests a full refund* of the cruise price or transfer to another cruise date.

All our adventure activities (kayaking snorkelling beach lands treks etc.) are suitable for persons of good health and they all involve risks. Whilst we do everything possible to safeguard our guests which are beyond our control. Bay of Islands Rock Cruises will not be held liable for your belongings and we recommend that you are covered by travel insurance. All departures activities and itineraries are subject to weather tides and sea conditions. Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to departure result in forfeiture of the full price.
