Cancellation Policy

Kia Ora and Welcome to Tatapouri Bay!

We trust that you’ll have a simply splendid stay with us and leave feeling relaxed and replenished.

To promote the most peaceful experience for others and our natural surroundings, here are a few important policies we’ve put in place:

Check in time - 2.00 pm – 6.00pm (Reception closes after 6pm, but automatically Late check in info will be provided inside the late check in box, outside reception)

Check out time - 10:00am (this is for all tent sites, glamping tents and cabins)

Reservation Conditions

Each of our accommodation options are subject to rate and condition changes. This includes our cabins, glamping tents and camping sites. Given the unpredictable nature of well, nature, amongst other factors, these changes can be made at any time and sometimes without notice.

All reservations are confirmed on the receipt of full payment. A full payment is confirmation To us that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. If anything is unclear, we are all ears to your questions and concerns.

Minimum stay periods may apply during weekends, public holidays, school holidays and during events. We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we have reason to believe the person:

Is not the one named on the reservation.
Is not the one named on the credit card or is unauthorised to use it.
May cause damage to camp property or disrupt other guests.
May exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour that is offensive to others.
Is below the age of 18 and unaccompanied by a responsible adult.
Is concealing a dog or animal which has not been approved prior to their stay.

Campgrounds are fun as long as you’re not being woken up conversations you never wanted to be a part of. So, for the well-being of everyone in the camping community, we have a strict quite time in place.

Quite time is - between 10.00 pm and 7:00 am every night of the week/month/year.

Quite in this case refers to using your “inside voices” outside as tents don’t block noise quite like walls do unfortunately.

Music levels must be kept to a minimum. This means low enough that your neighbours aren't also having to listen to it. Strictly NO music past 10pm.

Excessive drinking and parties will result in eviction from the camp property there are no two ways about it. In such unfortunate circumstances no refund will be made. Any alcohol is to be consumed on your site or in your accommodation. We’re all about having a good-time and making the most of a getaway but such rules are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone not because we love to title of “party-pooper”.

Parents are to supervise children at all times and any damage to property will be recovered.

Alterations & Cancellations

We welcome alterations to bookings but know they will be subject to availability and may require a camping site, glamping or cabin change to ultimately accommodate your needs.

Cancellations or alterations made for any reason will incur a $25 administration fee.
(This amount is deducted after the refunded amount).

A full refund will apply to cancellations made 14 days or more before the date of arrival.

A full refund will apply to covid-19 travel restriction cancellations.

A 50% refund will apply for cancellations with less than 14 days’ notice before your date of arrival.

No refund will apply should guests alter on the day of check in.

No refund will apply should guests alter or leave for any reason before their confirmed departure date.


Campervans, Caravans/Tents

Caravans/Camping

If you’re rolling up in a home on wheels you must have a current electrical warrant of fitness of planning on connecting to power. RV’s and caravans, we ask that you please provide your own waste-water containers. If you’re living the van life, all chemical toilets must be emptied at a dump station.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all of our camp buildings which includes facilities as well as our glamping tents and cabins. When smoking outside please be considerate of others which may be affected nearby.

Vehicles

Only one vehicle per camping site or cabin is permitted. This must be parked on your own camping or cabin site for the comfort of other guests. Please check with camp manager if you require a larger area for an additional boat or trailer.

No bicycles or skateboards are allowed in camp buildings.


Speed Limit

Campgrounds are full of life so as to preserve it; we ask that you slow way down and keep your driving speed at a safe 5km per hour. Always drive with care, as there are children running all over the place and people focused the beauty of the surroundings.
